Now we wait...
Kate is kindly going to drive the quilt, wadding and back to the quilting lady – I just can't bear to put it in the post, and the quilting lady's pick up day from Quiltsmith was Saturday, so we'd have to wait another month for her to come in again if we wanted a pickup, and we don't have time for that.
So, now we just have to wait till it comes back to do the real back and the binding.
On Saturday afternoon while I was starting on the borders for the wedding quilt, Mum got stuck into finishing off Olivia's doona. It's been quite a saga, as Mum had to put an extra border on it after the fact. It's a lot of hand piecing and all handquilted and it looks amazing.
I saw it today on the bed and it fits perfectly, and looks even better with its new orange border. Now for Phoebe's!
