During 2020 I decided to use scraps from projects straight after completing them, as good improv practice, but also give me smaller pieces to show when opportunity arose...
I started this quilt with scraps leftover from a quilt I made my niece. The dark colours spoke to me of the difficulties I experienced contracting sepsis that year. The bright spots of gold remind me of much care and kindness shown; of days without pain; and of finding light in the darkness.
