Mum is sewing morning...

Not long to go now ... less than two weeks to the wedding.

The quilt should have arrived in Wagga today with Kim, so Mum will be able to pick it up tomorrow to do the piping. I couldn't, for the life of me, find another box like the one we gave Kate hers in, but the quilting lady had it in the right sized bag, so maybe we can just top it off with a fancy ribbon?

In the meantime Mum's been keeping busy with the message patch, which is now ready to go on the back.

Looks like we'll now all be at the wedding too, which is fantastic, so everyone can be there to give them the quilt. Actually I guess we should think about when we're going to do that too. Any ideas? Dinner the night before? On the day? Or brunch on Sunday? I'm not entirely sure when everyone is coming and going, so let me know what you think.

  1. I bought a box that fits the quilt so we're OK there. I think that Friday night would be the right time as everyone will be together for dinner at The Bodi Tree. So.....I'd better get on with the sewing. Meri

  2. Go Meri. As for actual handing over - I vote for the brunch :) Can't wait to see you all (and the final product)!
