‘Sown Stories’ was made as a quilt conversation with Victoria Gertenbach to hang in my curated show ‘In Conversation’. That show toured to locations in Australia as well as hanging at Carrefour EPM in 2024.
A landscape patched together through conversation; the sharing of memories; and a common love of cloth, stitch and the utilitarian.
Imagining the cotton's journey through hands of farmers, pickers, dyers, weavers, machinists, exporters, shop staff and wearers.
Worn, ripped and faded – found and repurposed.
Hanging sleeve attached.
